- University of Bedfordshire:
The University of Bedfordshire is based in both Luton and Bedford, two large towns north of London. The University of Bedfordshire has two main campuses in the centre of Luton and on the outskirts of Bedford, both with on-campus accommodation. The University also has two campuses for nursing and midwifery degrees at Butterfield Park on the outskirts of Luton, and at the Buckinghamshire campus at Oxford House in Aylesbury. A fifth site, Putteridge Bury, contains the postgraduate Business School.
Around 20,000 students from over 120 countries study at the University of Bedfordshire and, since its foundation in 2006, the University has invested over £130 million in building and redeveloping facilities. Middlesex University is one of the largest universities in the UK, with 24,000 students enrolled at its London campus. £200 million has been invested to transform the campus into a state-of-the-art centre for excellence, with facilities and equipment that rival those of the world’s top universities.
Middlesex University has a strong reputation for research amongst modern universities and their innovation in education has been rewarded with three Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education. - Cardiff University:
Cardiff University is recognised in independent government assessments as one of Britain’s leading teaching and research universities. The University combines impressive modern facilities and an exciting approach to teaching with its proud history of recent achievements, and nearly 30,000 students, including nearly 10,000 international students, are currently enrolled at the Welsh institution.
Cardiff University’s expertise in research and research-led teaching involves social sciences, engineering, technology and a wide range of business professions. - University of East London:
The University of East London (UEL) dates back to 1898 and was founded as a university in 1992. It currently has 13,500 students from 135 countries enrolled, and the campuses at Docklands and Stratford are located in East London, close to the major financial centre of Canary Wharf and the region has chosen to host the 2012 Olympics. The Docklands Campus was London’s first new university campus in 50 years.
UEL was ranked 2nd in the UK for teaching quality (Times Higher Education Young University Rankings), as well as featured in the world’s top 200 young universities (Times Higher Education Young University Rankings). In addition, the University has been voted the most improved university over the last decade in the UK (Times Higher Education).

- Sheffield Hallam University:
Sheffield Hallam University is one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK, with over 30,000 students from more than 100 countries enrolled. It is also regarded as one of the best modern universities in the north of England and has eight subjects ranked in the top 20 in the UK (The Times and Sunday Times University League Table). Sheffield Hallam is one of the UK’s largest providers of health and social care courses, teacher training, and sport and physical activity courses.

- University of Salford:
The University of Salford has a long history of working with industry, improving on its traditional strengths of nursing, engineering and sports medicine. It was founded in its original form in 1850 before being awarded full university status in 1967, and there are currently over 20,000 students enrolled across 60 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Irwell.
Following the results of the National Student Survey, 83% of Salford graduates were satisfied with their time at the University. Improvements were also made in all subject areas, with 100% satisfaction in Media Technology, Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering, Professional Studies Nursing and Social Work and Architecture Design and Technology.
Salford was one of the first universities to offer a ‘sandwich’ degree, a year-long work placement, while its most recent development is MediaCityUK, which allows students to work and study with numerous companies in order to gain vital experience and contacts. Students studying at MediaCity have the chance to collaborate with the BBC in a working studio environment and six national departments, as well as companies such as Adobe and BAE Systems.
- University of Hertfordshire:
The University of Hertfordshire is a modern university based largely in Hatfield, in the county of Hertfordshire, about 35km north of London. Described as “the UK’s leading business-facing university”, Hertfordshire has more than 25,000 students enrolled from nearly 90 different countries.

- Liverpool John Moores University:

Liverpool John Moores is a pioneer of multimedia teaching and has one of the UK’s most state-of-the-art media centres. Many lectures are delivered by computer, maximizing students’ one-to-one tutorial time with their lecturers.
